Cooklee is a cooking video app. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and how you can delete it.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address and whether you want to cook along or make videos.
• Your account: your email address, used only to sign you in with a one-time code.
• Your profile: name, username, bio and profile photo. These are public.
• Your preferences: the cuisines you like, your diet and your food allergies. These are private. Only you can see them, and we use them to choose what to show you and to warn you about allergens.
• What you post and do: your videos, captions and tags, and your likes, saves, comments and follows. Videos, captions, likes, comments and follows are public. Saves are private.
• Safety: reports you send and people you block. These are private. The person you report or block isn’t told.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t show third-party ads.

AI features

Recipe Replay and Ask use Claude, an AI service made by Anthropic. The app asks for your permission before any of this is shared. If you say no, you can still use Cooklee, but your videos won’t get a Recipe Replay and you won’t be able to ask questions.

• When you post a video: we send still frames from it, a transcript of what’s said, your caption and tags, and your step markers, so the AI can write the recipe.
• When you ask a question: we send your question, that video’s recipe and transcript, and your diet and allergy settings, so the answer is right for you.

Your video’s audio is also turned into captions by Mux. AI can make mistakes, so always check recipes, allergens and food safety yourself. To withdraw your permission, email asahwells@gmail.com.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage.
• Mux: stores, processes and streams videos.
• Anthropic: provides the AI behind Recipe Replay and Ask.
• Vercel: hosts this website.
• Resend: sends sign-in codes and service emails.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, preferences, videos, likes, saves, comments, follows and photos.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and preferences at any time in the app under Settings.
• Delete your account in the app under Settings, Delete account. This is permanent.
• To leave the waitlist or ask about your data, email asahwells@gmail.com.

Age

Cooklee is for people aged 13 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and tell account holders about important changes.
